Matthew Fox, opprinnelig Timothy James Fox (født 21. desember 1940 i Madison i Wisconsin i USA), er en amerikansk prest og teolog. Han er et tidligere medlem av Dominikanerordenen innen den katolske kirke men forlot den, og ble medlem av den episkopale kirke da han ble ekskludert i 1993.

Fox var en tidlig og innflytelserik representant for den bevegelse som skulle bli kjent som Creation Spirituality. Bevegelsen henter inspirasjon fra de mystiske filosofiene hos middelalderske katolske visjonærer som Hildegard av Bingen, Thomas av Aquino, Frans av Assisi, Julian av Norwich, Dante Alighieri, Mester Eckhart og Nicolas Cusanus, så vel som fra den jødiske tradisjons visdom og profetiske tradisjoner. Creation Spirituality er også sterkt på linje med det sene 1900-tallets økologiske bevegelser, og omfatter mange åndelige tradisjoner fra rundt omkring i verden, som buddhismen, jødedommen, sufismen og Amerikas urfolks åndelighet med fokus på «deep ecumenics» (dyp økumenikk) og religionsdialog. Fox´ bok Original blessing. A primer in creation spirituality er hans kanskje mest betydelige verk, og legger fundamentet for hele hans økologiske åndelighet, hans økoteologi. Dette fundament er at skapelsen er noe godt, mennesket er skapt godt og arvesynden eksisterer ikke, men er en fallen kirkes forsøk på å kaste vrak på Guds skapelse. Istedet for arvesynd bør man ifølge Fox tale om «arvevelsignelsen».
