Fillmore East
Fillmore East var en rockscene i East Village, Manhattan, New York. Den ble åpna 8. mars 1968 av konsertarrangøren Bill Graham, som en oppfølger til hans Fillmore West i San Francisco. Fillmore East utvikla seg raskt til en veritabel rockekatedral med store konserter flere kvelder i uka. Til tross for sin beskjedne fasade mot gata, hadde lokalet hele 3 664 sitteplasser.

Fillmore East mønstret mange av tidas store artister og band til konsert, bl.a. Ike & Tina Turner, Grateful Dead, The Doors, The Who, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Allman Brothers Band, Derek and the Dominos, Jimi Hendrix, Country Joe and the Fish, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Lonnie Mack, Humble Pie, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young Crazy Horse, Pink Floyd, Raven , Procol Harum, John Mayall, The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Frank Zappa og Miles Davis. The Allman Brothers Band spilte så ofte på Fillmore East at de gjerne ble omtalt som «Bill Grahams husorkester».
Mange legendariske livealbum er innspilt på Fillmore East – det mest berømte er kanskje At Fillmore East av The Allman Brothers Band. Jimi Hendrix spilte inn et livealbum med The Band of Gypsies; John Mayalls The Turning Point er også innspilt her. Grateful Dead spilte i løpet av fem forestillinger i 1971 inn sitt fireplaters album Ladies and Gentlemen… The Grateful Dead: Fillmore East — April 1971. Et annet berømt album er Miles Davis' Live at the Fillmore East, innspilt i mars 1970. Rett før etablissementet ble nedlagt i 1971 spilte Frank Zappa og The Mothers of Invention recorded inn Fillmore East — June 1971.
Fillmore East ble ganske snart innhenta av en overveldende vekst i konsertindustrien, og 27. juni 1971 ble siste forestilling holdt her. På plakaten stod The Allman Brothers Band, J. Geils Band og Albert King, med White Trash, Mountain, The Beach Boys og Country Joe McDonald som gjesteartister.
