Michael Burleigh

Michael Burleigh (født 3. april 1955) er en britisk historiker og forfatter. Et av hans interessefelter er menneskerettigheter og moral, særlig knyttet til annen verdenskrig.

I 1977 tok han eksamen i middelaldersk og moderne historie ved University College London. Etter doktorgrad i 1983 har han undervist ved New College i Oxford, London School of Economics, University of Cardiff, Rutgers University, Washington and Lee University og Stanford University. Han er medlem av deet akademiske råd for Institut für Zeitgeschichte i München og fellow ved Royal Historical Society. Han grunnla tidsskriftet Totalitarian Movements and Political Religions og er i redaksjonsrådene for Totalitarismus und Demokratie og Ethnic and Racial Studies.
