Kim H. Veltman
Kim Henry Veltman (født 5. september 1948 i Workum i Friesland i Nederland, død 1. april 2020 i Maastricht) var en nederlandsk-canadisk vitenskaps- og kunsthistoriker.

Liv og virke rediger
Veltman emigrerte til Canada med sine foreldre og ble canadisk statsborger. Han studerte historie ved York University i Toronto der han tok bachelorgrad (1969) og mastergrad (1970) i renessansehistorie. I 1975 tok han doktorgrad (historie, vitenskapsfilosofi) ved Warburg Institute i London, der han hadde studert under B.A.R. Carter, Alistair Cameron Crombie, Ernst Gombrich, A.I. Sabra og Charles B. Schmitt.[2]
Han ble assisterende professor og Canada Research Fellow ved University of Toronto i 1984. Fra 1990 til 1995 var han direktør for the Perspective Unit innen McLuhan-programmet ved University of Toronto.
I 1998 flyttet han til Maastricht i Nederland. Han ble i 2006 direktør for Virtual Maastricht McLuhan Institute (VMMI). Han er kjent for sitt arbeid innen «linear perspective and the visual dimensions of science and art,»[3] nye medier, kultur og samfunn.[4] Hans best kjente arbeid er Studies on Leonardo da Vinci I, (1986), om Leonardo da Vinci.
