Underofficeare

NCOs in the US and in the BA are underofficerare. However, there are no underofficeare in the new structure as implemented 2009. "Under" in underofficeare denote ranks that are junior to officers, which is not at all the case for Specialistofficeare in Sweden. Specialist officerare above the rank first sergeant are senior(above) to many regular officers.

I followed the NATO-code system. NCO's do not have the prefix «under» as in Sweden. A BA regimental sergeant major (RSM) could also in some occasions be above a major in the same regiment. In the chain of command he isn't. Could the Regementsförvaltare be commanding officer of a battalion? The same «problem» exist for many NATO-nations.Gryphonis 19. feb 2012 kl. 10:29 (CET)
