The name of Eckhart was Eckhart of Hochheim and "Johannes" is a product of later generations, because the first translations of his prayers in other languages come from the earlist prints of JOHANNES Tauler in the 15. century, where Eckharts prayers were a part of !!! -- Eckhart Triebel
