The Righteous Brothers
The Righteous Brothers er en duo som ble startet i 1963 av Bill Medley (baryton) (født 19. september 1940 i Santa Ana) og Bobby Hatfield (tenor) (født 10. august 1940 i Beaver Dam i Wisconsin, oppvokst i California, død 5. november 2003).

Gruppen startet i 1962 i California som en gruppe med fem medlemmer med navnet The Paramours.[2] Når gruppen etter hvert ble en duo tok de navnet The Righteous Brothers og regnes å være et eksempel på det som kalles «blue-eyed soul» (hvite musikere som fremfører soul inspirert av svarte musikere).[3] Sangerne er ikke brødre som navnet skulle tilsi. Deres største suksess var i 1965 med sangen «You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'», produsert av Phil Spector. De hadde også suksess med sangene «Just Once in My Life», «Unchained Melody» og «Ebb Tide» fra samme år, og «(You're My) Soul and Inspiration» fra året etter, også disse produsert av Spector.
Fra slutten av 1960-tallet skilte de to sangerne lag, men hadde ikke særlig suksess alene. I perioden 1968–1971 steppet Jimmy Walker inn for Bill Medley. Walker døde i2020. De opprinnelige medlemmene (Bobby Hatfield og Jimmy Walker) gjenopptok samarbeidet i 1974 og fortsatte sammen til Hatfield døde i 2003.
I 2003 ble de innvalgt i Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.[4]
The Righteous Brothers gjenoppstod 2016, der Bucky Heard erstattet Bobby Hatfield.[5]
