Have Gun, Will Travel

Have Gun, Will Travel («HGWT») er et amerikansk indiefolk-band fra Bradenton, Florida.

HGWTs musikk er influert av americana-, folkrock-, country og pønkrock; energinivået er høyt og refrengene gjerne fengende og allsangpregede.

De fortellende tekstene til vokalist og låtskriver Matt Burke dreier seg rundt western- og andre historiske temaer, med liv og død, ære og moralitet i sentrum. Eksempelvis er HGWTs femte utgivelse, Science from an Easy Chair, et konseptalbum med Ernest Shackletons Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1914–1916 som tema.

Bandnavnet er hentet fra westernserien Have Gun – Will Travel, som CBS sendte på amerikansk tv i årene 1957 til 1963.
