Also, there was no copyright law in Maldives before October 2010 and according to the article 36 of the copyright law there is no copyright protection for files before the law is put into effect. This applies: "This work is in the public domain in the United States because it is a work published in the Maldives before October 2010, which had no copyright law or intellectual property relations before this date , under the terms of Title 17, Section 104 of the US Code and Circ. 38a".
