2. Геральдическое описание герба города гласит:

«В червленом поле золотой стоящий на задних лапах лев, держащий в правой лапе золотой заступ, а в левой, - золотой серп. Щит увенчан золотой башенной короной о пяти зубцах, окруженной по обручу золотым лавровым венком»

Kорона с лавровым венком на обруче указывает на то, что город Красноярск является административно-политическим центром субъекта Российской Федерации – Красноярского края. Данный вариант короны был утвержден Решением Красноярского городского Совета N В-18 от 29.05.2008]
