В серебряном поле два лазуревых столба. В центре щита изображен сибирский цветок "жарок", по сторонам от него парусная шхуна Григория Ивановича Шелихова, основателя Российско-Американской компании (символ имени города) и золотой бабр с червленым соболем в зубах (оба с иркутского герба). В подножии щита буквы "AL" - химический символ алюминия
