App Store

App Store er en nettbutikk og et program fra Apple, tilgjengelig på iPhone, iPod touch og iPad fra iOS versjon 2.0, som ble utgitt i slutten av juni 2008. Tjenesten er også tilgjengelig gjennom iTunes-programvaren og en egen App Store til Mac OS X kommer med versjon 10.7 («Lion»). I App Store kan utviklere utgi sine programmer til en valgfri pris, hvorav 70 % går til utvikleren og 30 % til Apple. Utviklerne kan også velge å utgi sine programmer gratis, uten å måtte betale noe ekstra til Apple. Utviklerne kan betale en startavgift på 99 amerikanske dollar, slik at de har muligheten til å overføre programmene sine til iPhone, iPod touch eller iPad for testing.

12+ Kan inneholde mild eller sjelden tegneserie-, fantasi- eller realistisk vold, og sjelden eller mild voksenhumor, hinting (f.eks. seksuelt) eller simulert gambling, som ikke passer for barn under 12 år.
17+ Kan inneholde intenst skremmende samt seksuelt innhold, kraftig språkbruk, alkohol, tobakk og dop, som ikke egnes for barn under 17. Kjøperen må derfor være minst 17 år for å kunne kjøpe programmer med denne klassifiseringen. Når en slik applikasjon skal lastes ned, må brukeren bekrefte at han eller hun er minst 17 år.
