Meat Loaf

amerikansk sanger (1947–2022)

Michael Lee Aday (født Marvin Lee Aday 27. september 1947, død 20. januar 2022) kjent som Meat Loaf, var en amerikansk sanger og skuespiller, kjent for sin teatralske stil på musikkscenen. Han fikk sitt gjennombrudd i 1977 med albumet Bat Out of Hell. Det har solgt over 43 millioner eksemplarer på verdensbasis og er ett av de mestselgende album i musikkhistorien.[9] I 1993 kom oppfølgeren Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell og i 2006 kom det tredje, Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose.[10] På 1990-tallet hadde han en stor hit med powerballaden «I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)» fra albumet Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell. Sangen havnet på førsteplass i 28 land[11] inkludert Norge.[12]
