Captn T.L.Rees' (lower center) 20 x 30 in. (50.8 x 76.2 cm.) Sold for US$ 30,500 inc. premium Footnotes The iron bark Estrella was built by Hedderwick & Co. at Glasgow in 1866. Registered at 512 tons gross (499 net), she measured 154 feet in length with a 28 foot beam and was owned by Doward, Dickson & Co. of Liverpool. After thirty years of reliable service with her original owners, she was sold to Norwegian interests in 1897 who, in turn, sold her to the African Lakes Corporation in 1899, soon after which she disappears from record. Auction Notices Medium should read "oil on canvas".
