Beskrivelse
English: Painting shows 'Barfleur' in the centre, firing from her starboard guns into the French flagship, 'Ville de Paris'. The latter on the right side, is striking her colours, both in starboard-quarter view. 'Barfleur' flying the red flag of Rear-Admiral Sir Samuel Hood at the mizzen, a red ensign at the stern, and a red signal flag at the fore. On the left and considerably beyond others is Rodney's 'Formidable', starboard-quarter view, her starboard guns firing into a Frenchman, seen in port-bow view with missing foremast. The French ship 'Ardent', 64 guns, is on the far right flying a red ensign over French colours to indicate it's capture. The 'Ardent' built in Hull in 1764 and captured by France in 1779. Following her recapture here she was renamed 'Tiger'. Read more at source.
