Notes: Completed between the years 1939-1940, by architect Charles Z. Klauder. Architectural style is Stripped Classicism. Originally constructed as and called the Social Security Building, it was renamed in 1988 for Wilbur Joseph Cohen (1913-1987), a government official and public affairs educator.; Gift; Carol M. Highsmith; 2009; (DLC/PP-2009:083).; Photographed as part of an assignment for the General Services Administration.; Title, date and keywords from information provided by the photographer.; Forms part of: Photographs in the Carol M.
