Familien Griffin (engelsk: Family Guy) er en amerikansk tegnet komedie skapt av Seth MacFarlane for FOX i 1999. Til nå er serien en av få TV-serier som har blitt stoppet og brakt tilbake på grunn av publikumsønsker, og den er også en av få serier som har fått gjenstartet produksjonen av det samme selskapet som stoppet den (se Cagney and Lacey og Doctor Who).

Åpningssekvensen ble i flere år feiltekstet på norsk fjernsyn; «Lucky there’s a family guy» ble oversatt til «Lucky er en familiefar», til tross for at ingen rollefigur i serien har navnet Lucky.^[4]

I september 2005 kom direkte-til-DVD-filmen Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story som er den første helaften tegnefilmen med Family Guy. Denne ble senere oppdelt i tre vanlige episoder med små justeringer og sendt på TV under titlene Stewie B. Goode, Bango Was His Name Oh! og Stu and Stewie's Excellent Adventure.

I forbindelse med episode nummer 100 (Stewie Kills Lois i sesong 7) kom spesialepisoden The Family Guy 100th Episode Special der Seth McFarlane intervjuer (?) folk om serien og leder oss gjennom en del tilbakeblikk på hva serien har bydd på fram til nå.

En webepisode (episode utgitt på Internett) som het Up Late With Stewie and Brian, kom i februar 2007 der Stewie og Brian leder et talkshow.
