FTSE 100

FTSE 100 er en aksjeindeks for de 100 høyest prisede selskapene notert på London-børsen. Selskapene på FTSE 100 representerer omkring 80 prosent av markedsverdien på børsen.

Indeksen ble opprettet 3. januar 1984 av FTSE Group, et fellesforetagende mellom London-børsen og Financial Times. De tre største selskapene da indeksen var nyopprettet var British Petroleum, Shell Transport and Trading og General Electric Company. Grunnverdien ble satt til 1000 og indeksen nådde sin foreløpig høyeste verdi 12. januar 2018 med 7792,56 poeng.[1]
