Tom Malone

Tom «Bones» Malone (født 16. juni 1947 på Honolulu, Hawaii[3]) er en amerikansk musiker best kjent fra The CBS Orchestra, som var husbandet til Late Show with David Letterman fra 1. november 1993 til 20.mai 2015.

Oppvekst og karriere rediger

Tom Malone ble født 16. juni 1947 på Honolulu, Hawaii. Han ble født der på grunn av at hans far, Odie Malone, var pilot i US Navy. Hans far var også en av de overlevende etter angrepet på Pearl Harbor. Da Tom var 11 år, gikk faren av med pensjon fra militæret og de flyttet til Hattiesburg, Mississippi der han bodde til han var 19 år. Begge hans foreldre kom opprinnelig fra sør i Mississippi.

Hans bestemor Pearl Hester lånte han 100 dollar da han kjøpte sin første trombone[4].

Tom Malone tok psykologiutdannelse ved University of North Texas.

Han har turnert og spilt inn plater med James Brown, Frank Zappa, Blood, Sweat & Tears, the Band, Miles Davis og Steve Winwood.
