Michael Ondaatje

kanadisk poet

Philip Michael Ondaatje (født 12. september 1943 i Colombo) er en kanadisk forfatter og poet. Han er særlig kjent for sin Bookerpris-belønnede roman Den engelske pasienten, som ble til en Oscar-prisbelønnet film. Ondaatje ble født på Sri Lanka og flyttet til Canada som ung etter å bodd noen år hos moren i England.[19][20][21]
