Ines er en form av spanske Inés brukt i italiensk, slovensk, kroatisk, nordisk og flere andre språk. Inés er en spansk form av Agnes, den latinske formen av greske Hagne (gresk: ‘Αγνη), dannet av hagnos (gresk: ‘αγνος), som betyr «kysk».
