Cicely Mary Barker
Cicely Mary Barker (født 28. juni 1895, død 16. februar 1973) ble født i Croydon i England. Hun er mest kjent for sine blomsteralv-akvareller. Som 15-åring begynte hun å selge sine arbeider, og etterhvert begynte hun å gi ut sine tegninger i bøker. C.M. Barker er mest kjent i England, men hennes blomsteralvmotiver er populære i hele verden.

Cicely Mary Barker studerte ved Croydon School of Art og døde på Worthing Hospital, 78 år gammel.

C.M. Barker avbilder mest barn. Det sies at hennes søster jobbet i en barnehage, og at Cicely «lånte» barna og malte dem. Hun sydde kostymene selv. I unge år var hun sterkt påvirket av illustratøren Kate Greenaway, som voksen sa hun selv at hun var mest påvirket av Pre-rafaelittene. I den grad man kan finne en pre-rafaelittisk tendens i hennes bilder var det først og fremst den overflatiske engelske idyllen i legendariske motiv, men ikke den pre-rafaelittiske ånd.
