Blackmore’s Night
Blackmore's Night er et folk rock-band som består av tidligere Deep Purple-gitarist Ritchie Blackmore og Candice Night. Derav navnet Blackmore's Night. Blackmore sluttet i Deep Purple etter The Battle Rages On i 1993 for å starte Rainbow opp igjen. I 1995 kom albumet Stranger in Us All, men Blackmore virket nå lei av livet som hard rock-ikon.

Etter at han traff Candice Night i 1989 i New York, hadde de to snakket om å starte et band som skulle spille renessansemusikk, og i 1997 var tiden inne for å sette planene ut i livet. Debutalbumet Shadow of the Moon ble en stor suksess i Europa, og bandet har nå sin største tilhengerskare i Tyskland.[1][2][3][4][5]
Ritchie Blackmore og Candice Night giftet seg 5. oktober 2008 etter 19 år sammen. Det er Blackmores fjerde ekteskap. Datteren deres, Autumn Esmerelda Blackmore, ble født 27 mai 2010 og inspirerte til navnet på albumet som ble utgitt samme år, Autumn Sky. Sønnen Rory Dartanyan Blackmore ble født 7. februar 2012.[6]
