Øst-Aserbajdsjan
Øst-Aserbajdsjan (persisk: استان آذربایجان شرقی Ostān-e Āzarbāijān-e Sharqi, azeri: شرقی آذربایجان اوستانی / Şərqi Azərbaycan ostanı) er en av de trettien provinsene i Iran.[3] Provinsens areal er 45 651 km² og ligger i den nordvestlige delen av landet.[1][2] I 2016 hadde Øst-Aserbajdsjan 3 909 652 innbyggere.[1][2] Administrasjonssenteret ligger i byen Tabriz.[1]

De fleste innbyggerne er etniske aserbajdsjanere som snakker et tyrkisk språk som ikke er beslektet med persisk.[4][5]
